Cyclone 3DR key benefits:

  • Sensor agnostic projects powered by JetStream or industry-standard exchange formats
  • Touch Mode workflows bring the power of Cyclone 3DR to the field
  • Fast, light and flexible meshing tools
  • Inspection and measurement for design-in-context
  • Domain-centric workflows for AEC, Survey and Tank Inspection, such as Scan-to-Plan, Clash Analysis, Building Extractor, Cross Section Analysis and more
  • Advanced customisation through a rich scripting engine
  • Reporting that conforms to industry standards (e.g., Tank Inspection to API 650/653)
  • Flexible texturing capabilities
  • Robust QA operations
  • Full interoperability with common design formats, including IFC and Revit model files and time-saving features like send to AutoCAD or send to Hexagon MinePlan
  • Automatic feature extraction
  • Powerful scripting engine
  • DSM/DTM creation
  • Contour extraction and much more

New features

3D Scene: Add the support of Stereo rendering device. A new cursor type (3D) has been added to inform about the cursor position in the 3D scene.
Analysis > Profile 2D Inspection: New workflow to create inspected sections along an axis on 2 meshes or clouds.
Analysis > Profile 3D Inspection: New workflow to create inspected sections along an axis on 2 meshes or clouds.
Analysis > Profile Extraction: New workflow to create sections along an axis on multiple meshes or clouds.
Analysis > Scan to Pipe: New workflow to extract manually pipe traces composed of straight pipes, elbows and reducers from a point cloud.
App: Add the possibility to browse notification history through a notification center.
Camera: Camera movements get a better animation (Zoom, Go to camera view point, First Person, etc.). Camera animations can be disabled in the Display settings page.
Classification: Add a new model (“BLK Mobile Filter People”) allowing to isolate moving points from BLK2GO scans.
Classification: Add a new model for road data.
Cloud: Timestamps can now be displayed as a new representation (LGS, e57). The color gradient can be edited through command Edit Colors.
File > Import / Export: Add support for LGSX files. Exporting LGS file is now replaced by LGSX (the exported content remains the same).
File > Import/Export LGS: Add the support of trajectory object for mobile scanned data.
Extract > Polyline from Trajectory: New utility command to convert a trajectory object to a polyline.
Image: New object “Image Set” allowing to group images together and ease their manipulation with existing commands (such as texturing). Stored images can be browsed through the Edit action command.
Measurement toolbar: Add the possibility to measure distance between two planes.
New Image Experience: Images are not displayed anymore in the 3D scene by default. They are now part of the Scan Locations tool. A new toolbar allow to easily manipulate the image next to the 3D environment.
Script: Add new STrajectory class to manipulate trajectory object in script.
Script: New SDialog API to ease the creation of forms in script. Parameters such as combobox, checkbox and point widget can now be inserted in the form.
Texturing > Edit Mask: New command to edit areas of images that will be ignored during texturing.
View > Compare Side by Side: New action allowing to easily visualize the difference between two objects in separate views.
